I want to thank my husband, Bret, for his efforts in updating this website and designing such an awesome MOPS info sheet!

Play dates to continue

August 12th, 2009

For those of you who enjoyed our park play dates this summer, we will continue the tradition as school starts up again. The tentative plan is to meet “inside” for Play Pals at the Ames Community Center Gymnasium (5th & Clark). This is an indoor playground that runs from 9-11am daily and costs $1 per child. To keep the event consistent, let’s gather the second Thursday every month (the same week as MOPS meetings). Hope to see you there!

*Our Thursday, September 10th play date will be at Brookside Park at 10am!

We will also have a “relationship” table available where you can bring small items that you are no longer using to share with others. Examples include: coupons, magazines, diapers, misc. baby supplies and product samples. Consider donating your larger items to our annual garage sale, usually in June.

Costs and Fees:

This year we are asking for freewill donations to cover such things as: guest speakers, refreshments, gifts/door prizes, crafts, advertising, and MOPS scholarships. Please give what you can, but keep in mind that we don’t want this to hinder your attendance.

MOPS registration is $23.95 and this fee covers the following…

~The MOPS outreach program (reaching and loving moms all over the world)
~MOMSense Magazine (a bi-monthly filled with valuable information)
~The theme book (Life on Planet Mom by Lisa T. Bergren)
~Weekly MOM-E-MAIL (a good source of encouragement)
